Bob Adelizzi
President

Bob has over 40 years experience in banking, real estate finance, home building, land development and law. More recent positions include Chairman and CEO of Guaranty Federal Bank; President and CEO of HomeFed Bank; and Chairman of Home Capital Development Group. Bob has served on the Board of Directors of numerous public, private and civic organizations including: Chairman of the Board of Children's Hospital of SD: Chairman of SD County United Way, Charter member of The University of California's LUSK school of Real Estate, Trustee of the University of California's Real Estate Institute, and Chairman of the Board of Visitor's for USD Law School. Currently, he serves on the Boards of St Vincent de Paul, The San Diego Historical Society and The McMillin Companies. He is a member of Lambda Alpha International, an honorary land economics society. Bob received his B.A. from Dartmouth College, his J.D. from the University of San Diego Law School and a graduate degree from the University of Indiana School of Banking and Finance. He was admitted to the California bar in 1963 after he served as a Captain in the USMC. Bob and his wife, Tommi, received the first "Tradition of Caring" award given by the Salvation Army for community leadership.

Patricia McQuater
Secretary

Patricia A. McQuater is currently Senior Corporate Attorney in the Legal Department at Solar Turbines. Prior to joining Solar more than 20 years ago, she was a Corporate Attorney at Foodmaker, Inc. for approximately 3 years. Her primary areas of expertise are Employment and Labor Law, Immigration Law, and Regulatory Compliance. She holds a JD degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and a BS in Business Management from Boston University's School of Management. Patricia has a long history of committed public service through appointments to numerous Boards and Commissions, including Mayoral appointments to the San Diego Convention Center Board of Directors, and the San Diego Unified Port District Board of Port Commissioners. She is currently serving on the Leadership Council to End Chronic Homelessness and has also served on the Boards of the USD School of Law Alumni Association, Children's Hospital and Health Center, Girl Scouts, and the San Diego Urban league, while taking on responsibility as a Big Sister in the local program. She has received numerous awards in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments, including the Career Achievement Award from the University of San Diego.

Donald R. Faye
Treasurer

Mr. Faye is a First Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary of the Corporate Administration and Project Finance Department with The Corky McMillin Companies. With a career spanning 30 years in real estate operations, Mr. Faye is responsible for debt-equity, administration, and corporate governance at McMillin Companies. His experience also includes asset management, project feasibility analysis, partnership negotiations, as well as corporate planning, finance, administration and budgeting. As Senior Vice President and Director of Operations at Home Capital Development Group, he sustained a highly respected reputation in the real estate world, overseeing more than $1 billion in land holdings. Don holds an MBA as well as a law degree.

Horace Hogan
Board Member 

Horace Hogan has been active in the homebuilding industry in Southern California for over 30 years. Mr. Hogan is currently serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of The Brehm Communities. Mr. Hogan's vision and leadership resulted in over 30 design, marketing, and merchandising awards honoring Mission Viejo Company's achievements, including two Gold Nuggets for attached and detached housing, and an NAHB Best in American Living Award. In 1989, Mr. Hogan left Mission Viejo Company to co-found Pacific Gateway Homes, L.P., a privately held homebuilding company, where he served first as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, before being named President & Chief Executive Officer. In 1993, Pacific Gateway Homes was named Builder of the Year by Hearthstone Advisors. Mr. Hogan is Vice Chairman of the California Building Industry Association.  Mr. Hogan received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Master in City and Regional Planning from Harvard University. Mr. Hogan resides in Carlsbad with his wife Kim, and their children Jacob and Savanna.

Susan Taylor
Board Member

Susan has served as the Director of Government and Community Relations for the University of California since 1985. She has been responsible for maintaining University linkages with the State and Federal Legislator on policy and budget matters for the University. In addition she has been responsible for maintaining communication with local community groups and government agencies. Prior to that she served as Chief of Staff to State Senator/Assemblywoman Lucy Killea. She has also served as the Senior Committee Consultant to the State Subcommittee on International trade and Business. In her role as State Senate staff she was involved in numerous policy formation and presentation issues including major interface on Medicare reform. She is currently a member of the UCSD Board of Overseers and is a PhD candidate in History at UCSD. Susan served as the Board President for San Diego Campfire Boys and Girls as well as Mid City Senior Enterprises. She has, for twenty years been a Senior Mediator for the San Diego Mediation Center, serves on the Board of California Women In Government and is on the Board of Directors of the UCSD Alumni Association. Susan is a single parent with three children.

Gabe del Rio
Board Member

Mr. del Rio is the Vice-President, Lending and HomeOwnership Director of Community HousingWorks, a non-profit corporation. Mr. del Rio develops and implements comprehensive strategies for enlisting investment partners and cultivates these relationships. He is responsible for the operations of the Homeownership Center, including the implementation and management of an effective and efficient service delivery system that produces a pipeline of prospective homebuyers. Mr. del Rio is active in his community and serves as Board President of Rebuilding Together San Diego, has been on the City Heights Area Planning Committee, and is active with several local, state, regional and national committees on homeownership and affordable finance. Mr. del Rio has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from James Madison University, and has numerous professional certificates in Lending, Real Estate, Management, and a variety of other continuing education topics. He has also been educated by the Mortgage Bankers Association and will soon finish his professional designation as a CMB (or Certified Mortgage Banker). Mr. del Rio has worked in real estate, finance and construction for over six years and also has years of experience as a first-mortgage lender and a nationwide broker.
